Wi-Fi Policy
Version 1.1 Date: 01/03/2026 Document: Wi-Fi Policy Pursuant to art. 19 of the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023), we provide you with the necessary information regarding the processing of personal data.
Within the premises of Gehri Rivestimenti SA, customers, suppliers and guests may use the Wi‑Fi network called “GehriGuest” free of charge. Users may access the Internet browsing service without any authentication and without providing personal details or identifying data by means of a voucher to be requested at reception.
The only information recorded that could be identifying is the “device name” and the related “MAC Address”.
This notice is provided to ensure transparency regarding the processing of browsing data in the event that the data subject’s device name corresponds to identifiable personal details.
Please note, however, that if an unlawful act committed through the “GehriGuest” WIFI network is reported, browsing data may be handed over to law enforcement authorities at their request.
Nature and provision of data
The data provided are necessary to allow access to GEHRI’s free Wi‑Fi service. The data collected are recorded during use of the service.
Purpose of processing
Your personal data will be used exclusively for purposes related to the use of the “GehriGuest” WIFI and will be retained for a maximum of 24 hours. The legal basis for the processing is the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or pre-contractual measures.
The data controller is Gehri Rivestimenti SA, which will process your personal data only to the extent strictly necessary in relation to the purposes set out above, in compliance with the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data.
Processing methods
The data subject’s personal data will be processed with a high level of security. All protective measures required by personal data protection legislation and applicable law, as well as those determined by the data controller, are implemented.
By way of example, some categories of data that may be recorded are listed below:
- Device MAC Address
- Name of the device used
- Time of the request
The user may use the browsing service, which is appropriately protected by specific company policies that block access to inappropriate or potentially risky websites or online services.
Disclosure and transfer of data
The data collected will be stored on the data controller’s systems.
The personal data collected by the data controller will not be disclosed to any third party. Only in the event of an offence reported by the police may the data be retrieved for the appropriate investigations by the law enforcement authorities.
Rights of the data subject
The data subject has the right to request from Gehri Rivestimenti SA, at any time:
- access to their personal data (and/or a copy of such personal data), as well as further information on the processing operations carried out on them;
- rectification or updating of their personal data;
- erasure of their personal data from Vecomp’s databases;
- restriction of the processing of their personal data by Vecomp;
- data portability, namely to obtain in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format a copy of the personal data provided to Vecomp, or to request its transmission to another controller;
- objection to the processing of their personal data;
- withdrawal of their consent for the purposes for which it was given;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
